To help you better understand spinning workouts, we thought it best to try and give you some descriptions of what you might expect from a typical spinning session.
There are five typical positions during a spinning workout session. Seated flat position is your standard biking position with your hands in front of you, and your body seated flat on the chair. The second position is the run, where you stand flat on the pedals. The next two position are intermediary climb positions. The seated and standing climb positions involve increased wheel tension. The final position is a series of jumps in which you will alternate in controlled movements from sitting to standing.
Your typical workout will alternate between these various positions in 3 minute bursts with each section lasting 6-10 minutes before recovery periods of one minute.
