How to Get the Most From Spinning Exercise
While spinning exercise can be great for you, there are a few basic preparations you can make that will significantly improve the benefits you get from your workout. All of these things are minor, but they can make a world of different when you're just getting into spinning exercise.
First, make sure to adjust your bike based on your height. Many people treat the exercise bike as a one size fits all solution, but having it fit for you can help a lot. Get the seat to hip level so that your knees don't bend or lock up while you are doing your spinning exercise.
Get shoes that fit you properly. Rather than using the soft running shoes, try and find stiff-soled shoes. These will make it easier on your feet long term, and if you want to really become serious about spinning exercise, you might even want to look into a pair of cycling shoes.
.Bring a towel and plenty of water. Spinning exercise gets the heart pumping so you're going to sweat. Having a towel allows you to wipe the sweat off and to keep your bike reasonably clean while you work out. The water allows you to keep hydrated and to ensure you have plenty of water in your system as you continue to sweat it out.
And of course, know your limits. Spinning exercise is intense and it is easy to get caught up in the excitement and push yourself too far. This can lead to injuries which will hurt you in the long term.
Hopefully these reminders will help you get the most from your spinning exercise class.
